Translated as the 'House of Dreams' with its own infinity swimming pool, the Cortijo del Sueno is the original old stone country farmhouse with Moorish origins - beautifully and sustainably renovated, to retain a real sense of local history and character.

The Cortijo harmonises home comforts and modern technology with traditional local design and architecture, to provide a unique and spacious country house full of mellow charm in peaceful, natural surroundings. Sitting at the heart of the estate over 150m from the other properties, the Cortijo is very private - whether booked alone or with other properties.

Cortijo Features
Access - two floors, with internal stairs. For guests requiring mobility access, please view our single level Casitas - especially the two bedroom Casita Mimosa
Bathrooms - each bedroom has its own four piece en-suite bathroom, including double-ended baths. (Shower stool, bath board & grab handles available.)
Summer Cool - electric fans, insect screens on all windows & patio doors work with traditional features such as thick stone walls on the ground floor, tiled floors, slatted shutters and shady trees to keep cooler
Winter Warm - keep cosy with underfloor heating in downstairs living areas and wall panels heaters in all bedrooms; thick duvets, floor rugs & open fireplace* in the 'snug' (*for use mid December to late March only)

Group Bookings
While the Cortijo is always popular for a family who like their own space, it is also perfect to share with family & friends who simply want to enjoy a holiday together - or a small group who plan a particular event such as a special birthday or attending a local event or activity. With four double/twin en-suite bedrooms, it can offer flexible accommodation including four singles or couples, two families of four, extended families & friends - or just those who simply love to get away from it all with plenty of quiet corners ...
For larger groups who want to eat and spend time together, but each enjoy their own space too, the Cortijo works well as a central base for group bookings with up to two other Casitas – with a maximum of 16 persons including all children, using the Cortijo as the main base. With two sitting rooms, dining room and large shaded patio, there is plenty of room for up to 10 persons dining inside and 16 outside, with their own private swimming pool & bar area.
(In consideration of other guests on the finca as well as other practicalities, seasonal and number restrictions for both properties and guests apply.)..
Swim
The Cortijo has its own private swimming pool, safely fenced/walled for little ones. It is 5m x 10m with wide roman steps to enter, as well as a large sun terrace with plenty of sun beds and shaded pergola.
The pool house containing a simple bar area, with a bathroom/changing room tucked around the side.
Plenty of space for yourselves, or to share when booking Casitas with a group.
Al Fresco
A large natural stone patio runs the length of the Cortijo, shaded by jacaranda trees with views over the lake. A double BBQ offers plenty of space, with seating for up to 16.
Curl up with a book in the Moroccan ironwork sofa & armchairs, or relax on one of the sunbeds in a shady corner.
Behind the Cortijo, below a small citrus orchard, is an area perfect for boule/petanque, or a gentle game of skittles - with tables & chairs to watch.
Kids
In the acres of central gardens, there are two play areas for children aged 1-6 and 6-12 years with swings, slides, playhouses offer hours of fun for kids to run around, explore & meet new friends.

A Games area with table tennis & giant board games is tucked away in a shady corner.
